Weinviertel DAC - Das Weinviertel setzt Maßstäbe

Since March 1, 2003, the designation "Weinviertel DAC" or "Weinviertel Districtus Austria Controllatus" has been a certified guarantee of quality and origin for the traditional Grüner Veltliner variety from the Weinviertel.

If a wine has the designation "Weinviertel DAC" on the label, it must meet the requirements for quality wine according to the wine law. In addition, the wines are subjected to further, rigorous tasting to ensure a high level of quality and to determine whether the typical regional and varietal character is recognizable.

Every Weinviertel DAC is exclusively Grüner Veltliner - fruity, spicy, peppery.

In addition to the classic Weinviertel DAC, there are Weinviertel DAC Reserve wines. These are stronger on the palate and have a good maturity.

Wherever it says "Weinviertel DAC" on it, the taste of the Weinviertel is there: a dry, spicy and peppery Grüner Veltliner.
